Where is direct digital printing used?

The latest achievement in modern technology is direct printing on fabric. This method is considered one of the most efficient ways to apply multi-colored designs to fabric items. With direct printing on fabric, you can decorate your clothing (t-shirts, hoodies, shirts) with interesting images, and even feel like a designer. Bring your bold and vibrant projects to life. The design is applied to the fabric using environmentally friendly inks that are water-based. This method is great for quickly printing various prints on textile products.

Direct digital printing on fabric got its name because the printer prints the image directly onto the item, without using transfer materials for further transferring the image to the textile.

Using a specialized digital printer, you can print a high-quality full-color design on fleece, t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, and other wardrobe items. The inks are completely safe for human health, so you can even order direct printing on children’s items. The image lays beautifully on the product.

The Process of Digital Printing on Fabric

This method of applying a design to clothing is considered one of the most complex and, of course, requires specialists to have extensive experience and practical knowledge in working with a textile printer. Since each order is unique, it’s necessary to know how to set up the printer so that the design on the fabric is as close as possible to the layout. If printing on colored clothing is planned, specialists first apply a primer to the fabric, then secure it with a press. Our employees use primer even when working with white t-shirts. This approach enhances the brightness of the image.

When working with dark fabrics, the printer first applies white ink, and then prints the colored image. It’s for this reason that the design on the clothing turns out thicker.

In cases where color reproduction plays an important role for the client, we offer the option of test printing. Direct printing on clothing has some specific features:

  • when applying the design to cotton, the fibers of the material are dyed, so the image is almost imperceptible;
  • it’s suitable for transferring prints to clothing made of natural and synthetic materials;
  • the designs have high quality and clear lines;
  • the resulting image does not affect the texture of the fabric.

For digital printing, we use only eco-friendly inks that can withstand multiple washes. You don’t have to worry that the images will fade after ironing or fade in the sun. However, we recommend hand-washing such items without using bleach. The clothing will look natural and will not lose its elasticity and shape.

Modern technologies for applying images to clothing are considered the highest quality and most efficient. Direct printing gives us the ability to create various designs, adhering to clear lines of the drawing and natural transitions in color.
